Sensory experiences are an important part of a child’s development. Toddlers absolutely delight in exploring the world through their senses. Play that stimulates a child’s senses builds cognitive skills and influences how your child learns about the world.

The desire to engage in sensory play comes naturally for children and should be encouraged and supported both at home and in early learning environments.

Many sensory activities only utilize the hands, but our feet are just as sensitive as our hands. Our Gonge Tactile Discs activity set allows children the experience of learning, exploring, and feeling with both their hands and feet.

A set of 5 large and 5 smaller Gonge Tactile Discs challenges children’s sense of touch. Our award-winning Gonge Tactile Discs are made of nice-to-touch synthetic rubber. Each of the 5 tactile structures can be found on a large disc for positioning on the floor, as well as a smaller disc for holding in his or her hands.

Children can see, feel, and describe textures and colours – a good exercise is to ask them to describe the tactile nature of the surface – such as smooth, hard, spiky, or sharp. Set includes a bag and a blindfold with playing instructions – ideal for memory games, matching, throwing, balance and much more.

Made from child safe and high impact durable PP plastic with a TPE rubber edging.
